Coaching WAVL (Juniors)

Coaching WAVJL is a great entry point for anyone beginning or progressing their coaching pathway or wanting to work with younger athletes.

Our junior teams compete in the WA Volleyball Junior League (WAVJL):

​

• Games are played on Friday nights during Terms 2 & 3

• Matches take place at various Perth venues

• Teams are grouped by school year:Year 7/8, Year 9/10, and Year 11/12

• Ideal for players building skills, game awareness, and a pathway into senior competition At Northern Stars, WAVJL coaches are expected to:

• Coach their team on allocated training days

• Be present for game days on Fridays

• Do their best to arrange a fill-in coach if unavailable

• Support athlete development using positive leadership, skill progression and team culture
